What size mini split do I need for my San Diego home?

Sizing depends on square footage, ceiling height, insulation, sun exposure and San Diego climate zone. Generally: 9,000 BTU for small rooms up to 350 sq ft, 12,000 BTU for medium rooms 350 to 550 sq ft, 18,000 BTU for larger rooms 550 to 900 sq ft, and 24,000 or more for open floor plans.
